Main Fields:
The main part of our work consists of translations of pharmaceutical product information (including human and veterinary medicines centrally registered in EU), user manuals for medical equipment, research articles, protocols of medical trials and their backtranslations.
We welcome texts on the following fields: medicine, pharmacy, veterinary, biology, genetics, biomedicine, chemistry, dentistry, and laboratory medicine.
Languages:
Translations from foreign languages into Estonian make up the major part of our work.
How do we work
You can send us texts for translation by e-mail, fax or post. To give you accurate quotation we need to see the whole text to be translated. We also need to know the time frame within which the translation has to be completed. After preliminary review of the material an agreement is made regarding the deadline and the price; then the order is confirmed. If necessary, we will then work out minor details for the order. We kindly ask you to provide more information on the material, if this is possible (such as purpose of translation, any relevant terminology you have already developed etc).
Quality assurance
The majority of Unimed translators and editors have graduated as medical doctors, but have also been trained as translators and have good experience in translating for various international pharmaceutical companies. By encouraging our translators to continue their medical practices, we can guarantee a thorough understanding of the most recent developments in the medical field as well as the knowledge of up-to-date terminology. In order to maintain and constantly improve the qualification of our employees we carry out training courses and frequent analysis for self-evaluation and feedback within our team. We use translation software Trados, which helps to harmonise the terminology and to optimise the process of work.
